Re: Ninji (it's the new way of saying Herd of Ninja's)
Sun, December 21, 2003 - 7:53 PMWell, yeah, if you want to be linguistically correct, Japanese does not incorporate plurality as such. Plurality is indicated by context. -

Re: Ninji (it's the new way of saying Herd of Ninja's)
Sun, May 2, 2004 - 1:10 PMI do beleive that ninja is singular and plural, so you would have a clan of ninja because they were in clans. Though I would not be one to say that you would ever know if there is more than one ninja if you were to see one. I understand why a "murder" sounds cool and like crows ninja do help the passing of souls from this carnate world, however a true ninja would be an assassin and not a murderer. As fot the Ninja of ninjas that would be correct for certain cultures that have no plural, they only say the same word again. Instead of I like cats, I like cat cat. So it would be ninja ninja for more than one. For me, Ninja stands alone. -

Re: Ninji (it's the new way of saying Herd of Ninja's)
Mon, May 3, 2004 - 7:05 PMNinja is plural and singular like everyone else said.
A "clan" sounds more appropriate, but may not refer to what one is speaking of. If several ninja from seperate clans team up to perform a task, then what would you call it? It isn't A clan, it's several.
I elect for something referring to either shadows or wind. A gust/breeze/gale of ninja, or something like that. -

Re: Ninji (it's the new way of saying Herd of Ninja's)
Mon, June 7, 2004 - 3:50 PMWhy must this be a serious conversation. Any dictionary can answer the question logically. Is that what people aspire to be.. a fraggin book!
Great, remind me to not hang out with any Ninji except chickenfish!
